Job Description

Responsibilities 1: Liaising with Sailors of different ranks/ CoC Flags and Recruiting as Necessary
  • Reporting to the Principal and assisting with the management of the crew team.
  • Responsible for crew recruitment as per statutory and operational requirements (faculty and instructors).
  • Assist in providing manning budgets and crewing as per budget.
  • Crew HR affairs and Payroll processing on pay dates.
  • Give guidance and advice to the crew regarding operational matters/ statutory compliance.
  • Ensure the logistics of crew change/succession is planned, and well coordinated with all parties involved.
  • Ensure the crew database is maintained and updated as required.
Responsibilities 2: Liaising with vessel owners, ship management companies, manning centres and agents
  • Reporting to the Principal and assisting with the Placement/ Pre-placement of cadets.
  • Planning marketing schedules and preparation for pitching with recruiters.
  • Regarding student cadets recruitment from College after course completion.
  • Facilitating pre-placement for cadets before course commencement.
  • Coordination for sponsored cadets towards their onboarding for respective courses.
  • Maintaining relationships over social media on behalf of the College.

Job Requirement

  • Minimum Degree and above in any discipline. (Maritime Studies or in a relevant discipline wi
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in similar to any of the two roles
  • Past sailing experience would be preferred by not necessary
  • Experience working with a ship management company would be an added advantage
  • Previous experience in a similar position, marine manning would be advantageous
